Strange First Day

I was having my morning coffee when the phone rang. When I picked it up there was nothing but static. I hung up the phone and began to sip my coffee when the phone rang again. I picked up the phone and it was nothing but static again. Not 30 seconds after I hung up the phone again...the phone rang again. I picked up the phone and proceed to scold the person on the other end.

"Look if you are just going to keep calling and not saying anything then I am just going to have to unplug the phone. I can't even drink my coffee and read my paper. It is only 7 a.m. It is much too early for all this nonsense."

A gruff voice on the other end of the line said "Wow, kid! You've got spunk. I like spunk. Keeps me on my toes."

I immediately knew that the caller was my supervisor Dr. Mercer. "Sorry Sir," I said, "I kept getting these prank calls this morning and I was unable to bear it any longer"

"I need you to go down to the vault," said the voice on the other end of the phone, "Want you to look up some of the documentation on the Tilingit art. We have artwork from the artist Bill Reid that is being added to the collection. This artwork would be well served by some contextual understanding on our part"

"I will do that right away sir!"

After talking to Mr. Mercer, I proceeded to the vault and began to explore the files and artifacts pertaining to Tilingit art. The following link is information that I found in our electronic database:

It would be a great help to me if you would choose one of the images a provide a synopsis. Describe what you see, analyze the visual components, and tell me what you think it means. You can place this synopsis in the comment section below.
